Iedereen die betrokken is bij de werking van Circusplaneet respecteert de structuur en de afspraken, maar heeft ook recht op inspraak. Spreek medewerkers gerust aan als iets op je lever ligt, of als je vragen of suggesties hebt. Ook dit intern reglement kan na jouw suggesties of opmerkingen worden aangepast en gaat dan van kracht na goedkeuring door het bestuur. Wil je Circusplaneet mee richting geven? Je bent van harte welkom op onze algemene vergaderingen of je kan je kandidaat stellen voor het Bestuur via bestuur@circusplaneet.be.
Activiteiten
Tijdens de lessen is de oefenzaal enkel toegankelijk voor de lesgever en de cursisten van die bepaalde les, tenzij de lesgever er anders over beslist. Anderen wachten in de foyer. Ook ouders betreden de oefenzaal niet. Wie naar het toilet moet mag passeren. Deelnemers en lesgevers dragen sportieve kledij die geschikt is voor de activiteiten. Binnen alleen met binnenschoenen of op blote voeten. Docenten geven uiteraard het goede voorbeeld.
Roken en drugs
Zoals wettelijk vastgelegd is roken niet toegelaten op het hele terrein van de scholen waar onze activiteiten doorgaan (zowel binnen als buiten). Ook aan de ingang van zowel de scholen, als de Circuskerk mag niet gerookt worden. Er wordt op circusactiviteiten nooit gerookt in de nabijheid van kinderen en jongeren onder 18 jaar, ook niet buiten schoolterreinen. Het is voor lesgevers tijdens de uren dat zij lesgeven verboden om alcohol te drinken. Wie ouder is dan 16 gaat op Circusplaneet op een verantwoorde manier om met alcohol. Voor wie jonger is dan 16 is het verboden alcohol te drinken. Het is voor deelnemers en medewerkers verboden om andere drugs te gebruiken tijdens Circusplaneetactiviteiten. Onder invloed van alcohol of andere drugs kan er niet gecircust worden.
Gebouwen en terreinen
Eten en drinken in de oefenzaal is niet toegelaten. Water drinken mag wel. Neem geen glas mee in de oefenzaal. Het secretariaat is voor niemand toegankelijk bij afwezigheid van mensen die een sleutel hebben van het secretariaat. Het secretariaat wordt bij hun afwezigheid afgesloten. Huisdieren zijn niet toegelaten in de oefenzaal. Buiten de oefenzaal zijn huisdieren toegelaten als ze niemand hinderen. Het huisdier mag niemand anders beletten om op Circusplaneet te komen, bijvoorbeeld door schrik of een allergie.
Materiaal
Het circusmateriaal staat ter beschikking van de cursisten tijdens de lessen en van de leden tijdens de community training. Gebruikers van het materiaal behandelen het als een voorzichtig en redelijk persoon. Na gebruik wordt het materiaal weer opgeborgen op de plaats waar het hoort. Mankementen aan het materiaal worden gemeld aan de verantwoordelijke lesgevers.
Iedereen is zelf verantwoordelijk voor zijn materiaal dat op Circusplaneet achtergelaten wordt. Zorg dat je de nodige merktekens aanbrengt.
Circusplaneet kan niet verantwoordelijk gesteld worden voor diefstal, verlies of beschadiging van persoonlijke bezittingen.
Om veiligheidsredenen wordt evenwichtsmateriaal, luchtacrobatiemateriaal en keuringsgevoelig materiaal niet uitgeleend.
Duurzaamheid
Circusplaneet tracht op een duurzame manier om te springen met de planeet. We roepen onze leden op om die duurzame gedachte mee uit te dragen.
Grensoverschrijdend gedrag
Grensoverschrijdend gedrag zoals agressie, pesten, seksueel grensoverschrijdend gedrag wordt niet getolereerd. Hetzelfde geldt voor (non-)verbaal gedrag dat als doel of gevolg heeft dat de waardigheid van een persoon wordt aangetast en/of dat een bedreigende, vijandige of onveilige omgeving wordt gecreëerd. Wie erbij betrokken is, kan uit de organisatie gezet worden. Dit is een beslissing van het dagelijks bestuur.
Wie melding wil maken van grensoverschrijdend gedrag kan contact opnemen met onze API’s (aanspreekpunt integriteit) via api@circusplaneet.be. Zij behandelen elke vraag discreet en garanderen anonimiteit. Samen met de betrokkenen gaan ze in functie van het gemelde incident op zoek naar een gepaste oplossing. Daarbij primeert altijd het belang van het slachtoffer.
Veiligheid
Samen met al haar leden werkt Circusplaneet aan een veilige circusomgeving, maar circus is natuurlijk nooit zonder risico’s. Denk preventief en schakel gevaren uit. Warm altijd goed op vooraleer je circust.
Veiligheidsvoorschriften
* Als je op hoogte werkt (doeken, trapeze, mast) doe je dat altijd met een valmat. De dikte van de valmat en de afmetingen van de valmat zijn in functie van de hoogte waarop je werkt. De regel is dat de breedte van de mat minstens 1⁄3 is van de hoogte waarop je werkt. De dikte van de mat is zeker 1/20 van de hoogte waarop je werkt (10cm voor 2m, 30 cm voor 6m, enzovoort)!
* Draag geen scherpe voorwerpen bij acro en luchtacro (piercings, juwelen, ritsen …) om jezelf en het materiaal niet te beschadigen.
* Zelfstandig maxitrampoline en bascule springen doe je enkel als je voldoende ervaring hebt. Zorg steevast voor voldoende veiligheidsmaatregelen in functie van de oefening die je doet (matten, spotters, longe).
* Toestellen opbouwen en inhangen mag enkel door wie een expliciete toelating daarvoor heeft van de interne preventie-adviseur. Materiaal ophangen met de ladder of de hoogtewerker kan enkel op momenten dat er geen activiteiten zijn in de circuszaal.
* Een veilige zaal is een propere zaal. We vragen om alles terug te zetten/weg te binden op de juiste plaats na gebruik, om niet te eten in de oefenzaal en om enkel water te drinken. Glas is verboden in de oefenzaal.
Wie deze voorschriften niet respecteert is niet verzekerd in het kader van onze verzekering sportongevallen bij Ethias.
Circusplaneet wil ook een psychisch veilige omgeving stimuleren. De circuspedagogie is niet competitief, en heeft oog voor voldoende differentiatie op maat van de wensen en noden van ieder individu. Circusplaneet wil eveneens toegankelijk zijn voor alle kinderen die zin hebben om te circussen.
Privacy
Als je betrokken bent bij Circusplaneet (of dat nu is door onze website te gebruiken, ons te volgen op social media, deel te nemen aan onze activiteiten, te solliciteren …) dan betekent dat, dat je bepaalde persoonlijke gegevens aan ons toevertrouwt. De veiligheid daarvan nemen we serieus.
Welke gegevens verzamelt Circusplaneet van jou?
Wanneer je inschrijft voor één van onze activiteiten, registreren we jouw naam en contactgegevens (of die van de ouders) voor administratieve doeleinden. Daarnaast vragen we je ook naar je geboortedatum en andere gegevens voor de administratie van de inschrijving te vervolledigen. De overheid vraagt ons om deze gegevens statistisch bij te houden. Wanneer je gebruik maakt van onze website, ga je akkoord met het gebruik van cookies.
Wanneer je deelneemt aan één van onze activiteiten, kunnen daar beeldopnames gemaakt worden. Dit doen we omdat we trots zijn op onze werking en onze mensen en omdat we veel belang hechten aan authentiek beeldgebruik in onze communicatie. Wanneer er tijdens de activiteiten van Circusplaneet iemand langskomt om beeldopnames te maken, wordt dit meegedeeld aan de deelnemers en gevraagd of iemand bezwaren heeft. Word je liever niet in beeld gebracht, dan kan je dat mondeling laten weten. Word je sowieso niet graag in beeld gebracht voor elke activiteit, kan je dat bij inschrijving laten weten via inschrijven@circusplaneet.be.
Onze voorstellingen, festivals en toonmomenten vallen onder de categorie publieke evenementen: hier worden vrijwel standaard foto’s genomen. Voel je je daar niet comfortabel bij, dan kan je dat altijd op de dag zelf laten weten aan de fotograaf of aan één van de Circusplaneet-medewerkers.
Hoe bewaren en beschermen we je gegevens?
Wanneer je gegevens bij ons achterlaat, worden je gegevens opgeslagen in ons beveiligd databestand dat wordt opgeslagen in de Google-Cloud. Daar worden ze enkel bewaard in het kader van onze werking. Ze worden beschermd vanuit de algemene beschermingsgaranties die Google biedt voor zijn gebruikers.

Wat doen we ermee?
Je contactgegevens gebruiken we standaard voor administratieve doeleinden. Dat betekent dat je als deelnemer aan een activiteit van ons een aantal mailtjes krijgt gerelateerd aan je inschrijving (inschrijvingsbevestiging, betalings- en praktische info, evaluatie).
Enkel wanneer je je zelf inschrijft voor de Circusplaneet nieuwsbrief (onderaan deze pagina), gebruiken we je contactgegevens ook om je onze nieuwsbrief op te sturen. Daarop kan je op elk moment uitschrijven via de link in de mails zelf of door ons te contacteren.
Foto’s en video’s die van jou werden gemaakt met toestemming, kunnen gebruikt worden in onze communicatiekanalen (website, social media, nieuwsbrieven).
Wie heeft er toegang tot je gegevens?
Enkel onze medewerkers hebben standaard toegang tot de persoonlijke gegevens van de personen in ons databestand. Wanneer je deelneemt aan een activiteit die door een gastdocent of in samenwerking met een andere organisatie wordt gegeven, bezorgen we hen ook je gegevens.
Zowel onze vaste medewerkers als onze gastdocenten en partnerorganisaties verbinden zich er contractueel toe om deze enkel in het kader van Circusplaneet-activiteiten te gebruiken. We geven je contactgegevens in geen enkel geval door aan externe partijen voor commerciële doeleinden.
Hoe kan je zelf je gegevens aanpassen?
Je hebt op elk moment het recht op inzage, wijziging of vernietiging van je eigen persoonlijke gegevens in ons databestand. Daarvoor kan je ons mailen op inschrijven@circusplaneet.be. Houd er wel rekening mee dat, als je nadien opnieuw voor een cursus inschrijft via onze website, we terug bepaalde gegevens van je zullen verzamelen (zie hierboven).

Internal regulations
Everyone involved in Circusplaneet’s activities is expected to respect the structure and agreements, but also has the right to be heard. Feel free to approach any staff member if something is bothering you, or if you have any questions or suggestions. These internal regulations may also be adjusted based on your feedback and will take effect once approved by the Board of Directors. Would you like to help shape the future of Circusplaneet? You are very welcome to attend our General Assemblies or you can put yourself forward as a candidate for the Board via bestuur@circusplaneet.be.
Activities
During classes, the training hall is only accessible to the trainer and the participants of that specific class, unless the trainer decides otherwise. Others must wait in the foyer. Parents are not allowed to enter the training hall either. Anyone who needs to use the restroom may pass through.
Participants and trainers must wear sports clothing suitable for the activities. Indoors, only indoor shoes or bare feet are allowed. The trainers, naturally, set a good example.
Smoking and drugs
As stipulated by law, smoking is not allowed anywhere on the school grounds where our activities take place (both indoors and outdoors). Smoking is also prohibited at the entrances of the schools and the Circus Church.
During circus activities, smoking is never allowed near children or young people under the age of 18, even outside school grounds.
Trainers are not allowed to consume alcohol while teaching or supervising activities.. At Circusplaneet, anyone aged 16 or older is expected to handle alcohol responsibly. For those under 16, drinking alcohol is prohibited.
Participants and staff members are not allowed to use drugs during Circusplaneet activities. Circus activities may not be performed under the influence of alcohol or other drugs.
Buildings and sites
Except for water, food and drinks are not allowed in the training hall. Please do not bring any glass objects into the training hall.
The office cannot be accessed without someone who has an office key. In their absence the office will be locked.
Pets are not allowed in the training hall. Outside of the training hall, pets are welcome as long as they do not disturb anyone. A pet may never prevent someone from attending Circusplaneet, for example due to fear or allergies.
Equipment
The circus equipment is available to participants during classes and to members during community training. Everyone is expected to handle the equipment with care. After use, the equipment must be returned to its designated place. Any defects must be reported to the trainers in charge.
Everyone is responsible for their own circus equipment when left at Circusplaneet, so make sure your items are clearly labelled.
Circusplaneet cannot be held responsible for any theft, loss or damage to personal belongings.
For safety reasons we do not lend out balancing equipment, aerial equipment and other materials that require inspection.
Sustainability
Circusplaneet strives to operate in an environmentally conscious way. We encourage our members to share this commitment to sustainability.
Transgressive behaviour
Transgressive behaviour such as aggression, bullying and sexual harassment is not tolerated. The same applies to verbal or non-verbal behaviour that aims to, or has the effect of, undermining a person’s dignity and/or creating a threatening, hostile, or unsafe environment. Anyone involved may be expelled from the organisation. This is a decision made by the Board of Directors.
Anyone who wishes to report transgressive behaviour can contact our Integrity Point of Contact (API) via api@circusplaneet.be. They handle every query discreetly and guarantee anonymity. Together with those involved, they work to find an appropriate solution based on the reported incident. The well-being of the person affected is the top priority
Safety
Together with all its members, Circusplaneet works to create a safe circus environment. But circus is, of course, never entirely without risks. Think ahead and prevent hazards wherever possible. Always make sure to warm up properly before doing any circus activities.
Safety regulations
* When working at height (aerial silks, trapeze, Chinese pole), always use a crash mat. The thickness and dimensions of the mat depend on the height you are working at. As a general rule, the mat’s width should be at least one third of the height you’re working at, whilst the mat’s thickness should be at least 1/20 of the height you’re working at (20cm for 2m, 30cm for 6m…).
* Do not wear sharp objects when doing acrobatics and aerials (piercings, jewellery, zippers, etc.) to avoid injury or equipment damage.
* Only perform maxi- trampoline and teeterboard exercises independently if you have sufficient experience. Always ensure that adequate safety measures are in place for the exercise that you’re doing (mats, spotters, lunge, safety lines, etc.).
* Only those with explicit permission from the internal prevention advisor may mount or rig apparatus. Rigging apparatus with the ladder or the aerial platform is only possible when there are no activities taking place in the circus hall.
* A safe training hall is a clean training hall. Please put everything back in the right place or tie everything away after use, do not eat in the training hall, and drink only water. Glass is prohibited in the training hall.
Anyone who fails to comply with these regulations will not be covered by our Ethias sports accident insurance.
Circusplaneet also aims to foster a psychologically safe environment. Circus pedagogy is non-competitive and pays attention to the necessary differentiation to meet each individual’s wishes and needs. Likewise, Circusplaneet wants to be accessible to all children who want to do circus.
Privacy
If you are involved with Circusplaneet (whether by using our website, following us on social media, taking part in our activities, applying for a job, etc.), this means you are entrusting us with certain personal data. We take the protection of that data seriously.
What personal information does Circusplaneet collect?
When you register for one of our activities, we record your name and contact details (or those of your parents) for administrative purposes. We also ask for your date of birth and other information needed to complete the registration. The government requires us to keep these data for statistical purposes. When you use our website, you agree to the use of cookies.
When you take part in one of our activities, photographs or videos may be taken. We do this because we are proud of our work and our community, and because we attach great importance to the use of authentic images in our communication.
If someone comes to take pictures or film during a Circusplaneet activity, this will be announced and participants will be asked whether they have any objections. If you prefer not to be photographed or filmed, you can simply let us know verbally. If you do not want to be photographed during any of the activities, you can let us know at the time of registration via inschrijven@circusplaneet.be.
Our performances, festivals and showings fall under the category of public events. At these events, photos and video are almost always taken. If this makes you uncomfortable, you can always let the photographer/videographer or one of the Circusplaneet staff members know on the day itself.
How do we store and protect your data?
When you share your data with us, it is stored in our secure database hosted on Google Cloud. Your data are kept exclusively for the purposes of our operations and are protected by the general protection guarantees that Google offers its users.

What do we use them for?
By default, we use your contact details for administrative purposes. This means that as a participant in an activity, you will receive a number of emails from us related to your registration (registration confirmation, payment and practical information, evaluation).
We will only use your contact details for our newsletter if you register for it yourself (at the bottom of this page). You can unsubscribe at any time using the link in the emails themselves or by contacting us.
Pictures and videos taken of you with consent may be used on our communication channels (website, social media, newsletters).
Who can access your data?
Only our staff members have standard access to the personal data of the people in our database. When you participate in an activity led by a guest teacher or organised in collaboration with another organisation, we share your details with them as well.
Both our permanent staff, and our guest teachers and partner organisations are contractually obligated to use this information solely in the context of Circusplaneet activities. Under no circumstances will we pass on your contact details to external parties for commercial purposes.
How can you modify your data?
You have the right to access, modify or delete your personal data in our database at any time. To do so, please email us at inschrijven@circusplaneet.be.
Please note that if you subsequently enrol again for a course via our website, we will once again collect the necessary information from you (see above).
